Couple of month’s ago the Fire Chief, Jeanine Nicholson spoke at Manny’s down the street from me and I went down to ask her a single question.

After her presentation and the crowd was gone and people were coming up to congratulate her for putting the Ambulances Back into the Fire Houses …

Just kidding, the ambulances will remain out of the houses and much of their duties subcontracted to private companies who have EMT’s instead od Paramedics which means that voters will get less reliable and less capable personnel responding to their emergency.

I once saw 3 department ambulances on ‘dynamic’ patrol together at Aquatic Park eating lunch and two of them had to be far far from the center of their patrol areas.

They couldn’t get by with that if they were stationed back in the fire houses where they belon.

So, I ask the Chief:

" Why don’t you live in the Fire Chief’s house ? "

She kind of stammered that it would take too much to clean up.

Now, that’s become the party line all the way down to a captain on a truck I passed.

Asked why their Chief didn’t live in the Chief’s residence:

"It would cost five hundred thousand dollars to clean that place up and for that our Chief can buy a new fire engine to better protect you."

What a crock.

They’ve passed out mother fucking talking points !!

You watch tho, they’ll read this and hopefully, they’ll at least clean up the front of the place and polish Chief Sullivan’s brass plaque.

You know, I hate to even mention this.

But, I’ve asked at least a couple of dozen firefighters about the fire house thing and they all laughed and mocked me.

They honestly have zero pride in the history of this department nor honor for fallen heros.

Those Firefighters who feel that way are …

Oh yeah …

They’re assholes.

Hopefully they’re better at fighting fires than they are at keeping the candle burning.
