Laguna Honda’s final reprieve • Families Sue Laguna Honda • D7’s Participatory Budget • Can SFUSD Change Course? • Quentin’s Quips

Laguna Honda Hospital gets a final last-minute reprieve.

Is it too late to save Laguna Honda?

Mayor? Governor? Anyone?

The Health Commission and the Director of Public Health are appointed, not elected. The Health Commission has no actual power, and the Director of Public Health serves at the will of the Mayor. Other than the Board of Supervisors, there is no independent body responsible to the people of San Francisco. Only the Mayor can prevent this mess from happening again.

About Me

I’m h. brown, the creator and author behind this blog. I’m a political blogger covering San Francisco local politics. Everything I write from now on is my attempt to carry on the torch for Linda Laflamme (Neska) and Roscoe Robinson (Frank Leslie/Mickey/Roscoe) two gifts to so many many thousands.

So far.

“I’m supposed to play here.”

That’s what Linda Laflamme said the first time I saw her under the snow topped skylight in the old Steam Auto factory my friends and I had converted to h. brown’s in 1977 I believe it was.
