I’d say Dean Preston deserves the label: ‘#1 Progressive’ huh ?

An avowed, ‘Democratic-Socialist’ just like my idol, Bernie Sanders.

Props to Manny Yekutiel for hosting the Overflow crowd event.

I made a dollar bet that Preston supporters would outnumber detractors.

I lost.

But the ‘opposition’ was very laid back about it.

Manny used a tactic that surprised me to keep things quiet.

He had his Events director, Precious, collect written questions from the audience or maybe it was Joe Eskenazi (Mission Local Managing Editor) …

Whatever, there were no questions shouted at length from the audience (ta fuck is it about people who get mic to ask a question an droll on?) …

So, best Political MC in town (Joe) blended questions from all quarters to the smartest Progressive politician.

Worth the trip over and I got to see some old Moderate aquaintances I hadn’t seen in years who came out to peer at the Prog beast.
