Did you see the Willie interview the other day when he said he had 2300 cops when he was Mayor ?

Thing is, he took cops off the street first thing when he got rid of the Police Kobans Feinstein had cached from her Europe and Asian tours.

It took about 10 cops each for 24/7/365 Kobans.

With 3 cops per shift (Cadets & Volunteer retires welcome)  …

You get Foot Patrols too because they rotate being in the Stationary ‘Cop Box’ while other two walk up to 2 square blocks each meeting neighbors at all hours on a Solitary Officer Patrol like Grandpa did and I guarantee you, he knew the neighbors and grocers.

You get the Officers by accelerating the hiring of Civilian Staff to replace the desk-bound people toting iron.

Take the hiring out of City hands cause they haven’t done the job tho it has been assigned to them over at least the 30 years I’ve been watching them on SFGV.

Any Reputable Employment Agency can get you 10 hires a month (you want 200) or get canned per contract.

LA has around 7% Sworn Officers manning desks last I looked.

SF has around 15% Sworn Officers on desks.

That 8% difference is right at around 200 Officers.

That’s Willie’s numbers I used if you’ll have your staff check it in an Examiner or Standard interview last week.

Sheriff offered to take over airport cause cells were empty cause cops stopped arresting people during Boudin Era.

So, Cops didn’t wanna lose the slots and started arresting Drug Users along with Dealers to fill them up.

Take half of the Cops at the Airport and put them on Koban/Foot Patrol Duty and you have 10 Kobans !!
