I can’t for the life of me get myself to believe the billionaire’s candidate beat Preston.

Can you ?

How much to count D-5’s 35,000 votes by hand with reps from all concerned present ?

I’m guessing the Fix was centered on the 2,500 Looijen.votes.

She got damned near as many votes as 3 male Latino candidates got in the Mission’s 48% Latino district.

Missed it by 100.

Hell, 2 of these guys were even born in the Mission and campaigned heavily.

I couldn’t figure out why the the billionaires ran 2 candidates in D-5 but I think they did it so’s they could use her slot on the ballot to absorb a couple of thousand of Preston’s votes.

Jones got 441 votes to Jooijen’s 2,589 if you wanna believe John Arntz.
