I’m halfway through a long read ny times piece throughly detailing US-Ukraine collaborations and tactical decisions.  Somehow the times got all these generals talking and laying out the intricacies in more detail than I’ve previously read .. and I’ve a bunch.

You can see why they get so wrapped up and never want the thing to end.  It’s all a game.  The missing piece of course is the Russia telling.  Reading this you’d think Ukraine was winning. 

One part that has really stood out is that at one point Russia was close to going nuclear.  US had put the odds of the use of a small warhead at 5-10%, but at one point intercepted a message and raised the likelihood to 50%.  Crazy.
