Let 500,000 voters have a say in choosing our next Police Chief

Skippy Brown

Friends,

You’ve seen me shout this from SF’s rooftops for 50 years.

Can you imagine the campaign for Police Chief ?

My latest screed as a post on Mission Local.

Do you know your beat cop ? Of course not because you don’t have one. It’s the main reason San Franciscans no longer trust SFPD. We had Foot Patrols from 1880 to 1960 and we should bring em back. The Mayor’s sweeping reforms in his coming November legislation is closing the paths to a citizen/voter return to influence a return to a beat cop City. We need an elected Police Chief and only Mayor Lurie has the power to give the people a say in the matter. Top Cop on the ballot would be the most consequential matter for neighborhoods like the Mission ever. Elect our Police Chief !! go Niners !! h.

About Me

I’m h. brown, the creator and author behind this blog. I’m a political blogger covering San Francisco local politics. Everything I write from now on is my attempt to carry on the torch for Linda Laflamme (Neska) and Roscoe Robinson (Frank Leslie/Mickey/Roscoe) two gifts to so many many thousands.

So far.

“I’m supposed to play here.”

That’s what Linda Laflamme said the first time I saw her under the snow topped skylight in the old Steam Auto factory my friends and I had converted to h. brown’s in 1977 I believe it was.

Go Niners
