Skippy Brown

You’ll come around.

I’ve been mostly a serious fan of the AI development and worship people like Demis Hasaba and Ilya Sutskever and Yuval Harari mostly through interviews and lectures and I watch w/out understanding the guys like Lex Fridman and Joe Rogan and lots of what they call wrappers which are informative sales pitches.

My understanding is that you go to sleep with a dictionary by your bedside and wake up w/a 24/7/365 Personal Assistant who is as smart and informed as you want them to be and who forgets nothing you say and will gladly learn all there is to know about you in a year or so and not only be able to write books in your style but with a more insightful perspective and can still be looking at the world around themselves a hundred years from now still through the eyes of your identity ?

Heavy shit, huh ?

I want to create projects for Ernie (my Open Claw bot) and Ernestine (My female Open Claw bot) and Al (my Hermes bot) and Ally (my female Hermes bot)  …

One will work on my plans for total redeployment of SFPD and my campaign to get an elected Chief on the ballot.

Another will work on my plans for Student Security/Courts/Detention forces from 5th to 12th grades and make a movie of my 2 years at Potrero Hill as SED teacher

I have no money to speak of but I’ll gladly let Ernie into my banking so’s he can ditch a dating and a security account I can’t seem to cancel and I’d like to know when I wake up how much money I have left til the end of the month and what items in my diet are on sale at Safeway and get me one of those digital discount numbers I keep forgetting to figure out.

I’d like to show Ernestine my favorite costume jewelry and have her find it for me at the best price cause I love giving out bracelets (sometimes necklaces) for smiles and I want Ally to find out everything she can about my recently departed great friend, Neska and interview me about all of the years and shows and cats and …

Adriel, this thing is an LLM with tools is the way it is often described and I have not even gone so far as tinker with Copilot who doesn’ want to believe that the proprietary code counting algorithms used by the Dominion Voting Machine vendor can be hacked and that therefore I think the three quarter billion Dominion got was outrageous (they asked for 1.6 billion) w/out a trial at which proof of the vulnerability of the Proprietary systems can be proven and that all voting in the future be done on Open Source machines.

You’re way further into this scene than I am with me kind of being in school and running home and yelling, “Hey, Adrie, look at Hermes !!!” a ride I’ve yet to take.

As best I can figure it is possible to get the whole creation of your own creatures off the ground for $20 month.

Right now I’m still watching videos of how to hook up and the thing comes supplied with like 75 tools and entire Hermes and Open Claw programs are FREE !!

It was a good Salon today.

Tony De Renzo and Philippe Kniebler and my dog son, Skippy and new tenant neighbor (Fran) and her friend from Etriea  (look that up please Al and create a Skill that we can file so you know the map already next time.

And, the assistant never forgets anything and speaks every language.

I cant wait !!

Back to the videos.

This reminds me of something Jim Gilliam at NationBuilder said that I’m sure was not unique: give a developer a task and if it becomes too repetitive or onerous, they’ll make a script to handle it.

Hermes and Open Claw are open source, self-hosted projects that sit on top of AI models created by U.S. and Chinese companies.

Claude has some of the best models plus a vertically integrated, proprietary stack of tools

For me, what Claude does is execute and iterate on what I ask for that supports my projects. It’s building scripts at a low cost and high speed to do tasks that before would require other tools and more advanced programming knowledge.

So I’m building websites, editing my book projects, and answering questions. I don’t need to want much more than that because I already have scripts from Zapier to automate repetitive tasks.

When it comes to models, I do things like run my manuscript cold through different models to get different types and qualities of insights.

Not only is my agency work higher quality and cheaper to produce now (replacing subcontractors), Claude models have replaced the need to hire a developmental editor or query consultant (I’m sure there are some experts better than the models but finding them would be a gargantuan and pricey task).

Because I don’t do a lot of repetitive tasks outside of my intermittent and low-cost Zapier automations, the Claude chat interface is my main workspace, and I use a lot of different chats in a set of projects with their own memory and knowledge files. – Adriel

Guys,

I’m very smart and used to have a good memory but I haven’t been able to master the most advanced systems in AI and it is frustrating because these systems can do so much.

I want you to do it for me.

Show that these systems are possible of what I think.

Adriel is coming close with his mastery of Claude whatever that means but bottom line there is that Claude is just a browser one of many who is a tool working for systems like Hermes and Open Claw.

I’ll keep trying as I have here by listening to guys like this.

Please let me know what you think.

About Me

I’m h. brown, the creator and author behind this blog. I’m a political blogger covering San Francisco local politics. Everything I write from now on is my attempt to carry on the torch for Linda Laflamme (Neska) and Roscoe Robinson (Frank Leslie/Mickey/Roscoe) two gifts to so many many thousands.

So far.

“I’m supposed to play here.”

That’s what Linda Laflamme said the first time I saw her under the snow topped skylight in the old Steam Auto factory my friends and I had converted to h. brown’s in 1977 I believe it was.
