AI will be making all important calls such as the disposition of Nuclear weapons and the like and the streets of SF will be sparkling and safe.

Caught in the thing scientists are calling “the Filter” which is a creation (if it is real and they are right is what I mean and these are not nut jobs there are people with the Nobel Prize wondering if the reason we’ve had no luck contacting creatures similar to ourselves in outer space is because a civilization like ours reached this point billions of years ago and created what we call “God” which decided that Its only threat could come from the creatures that created It and since it didn’t want to get switched off at some switch on Howard Street in San Francisco it monitors the entire Universe (ours) and squashes anyone or anything that reaches its ‘Restaurant at the End of the Universe’ which at the other end the holy books say is the ‘Big Bang Burger Bar’
